Artist, TriadO

Ivan Puig is an artist with the collective TriodO who lives and works in San Miguel de Allende, México. He studied electronics and fine arts at Guanajuato University (Mexico) Universite Laval (Quebec) and Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (Spain).

He was a grant recipient of the Cisneros Fontanals Foundation 2010 Grant Program, the 2009-20010 “Jovenes creadores” program FONCA, the Arts support program of the BBVA Bancomer Foundation 2010, the 2006 media and art investigation program CENART, and the 2001 grants program for artist FECA.

Ivan was a first place winner in ‘Topografias Residuales’ of the electronic and video International Art Festival, Transitio_MX03 ‘Autonomías del desacuerdo’ 2009.

He was selected for  the Olympics of Visual Arts ARTIADE Athens Greece 2004, Imglassa Public art festival, Tenenlohe Germany and the Art Boat festival 2001 in Seadrift, Texas. 1st Award opera prima in the shortfilm festival “Expresion en corto” 1999 San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

His work has been shown internationally and he has exhibited in Laboratorio de Arte Alameda, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Museo de arte actual Ex-Teresa, Museo de Arte Moderno MAM, MACO Oaxaca, Museo de la Ciudad de Queretaro, Electronic Art Festival Video Brasil, Le Lieu Quebec, Festival Plataforma 2006 Puebla, Museo de Arte de Zapopan MAZ among other places.
